It is a good measure of occupational judgement and business problem solving abilities.
The Watson Glaser critical thinking appraisal is a timed ability test that measures an individual's ability to efficiently and effectively evaluate information and make good decisions, based on contemporary and business relevant items. The Profile report then takes a candid look at the individual's critical thinking skills, links these to important workplace competencies.

A recruitment tool used to evaluate a potential candidate’s critical thinking skills. The Watson Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal measures an individual’s ability to efficiently and effectively evaluate information and make good decisions. The Profile Report gives a rating for 3 key areas:
- Recognition of Assumptions
- Evaluation of Arguments
- Drawing Conclusions
This timed ability test assists with the recruitment of managerial and professional staff. The latest online version of the test is used: WG-III and a range of comparison groups (norms) is available including Accountancy, HR, IT, Marketing and Legal. Scoring is based on Item Response Theory (IRT) which adapts to the individual candidate. Therefore, this allows a more accurate estimate of true critical thinking skills.
Applicants are allowed a maximum of 30 minutes to complete the test. It is a very effective Business Reasoning Test.
